ROOFING COMPANY STORMS AWAY

Pioneering aluminium roof welding specialist Melvyn Rowberry is back in business.  His new company MR Site Services Limited, set up at the end of August 2005, provides continuation of service from his previous business Melvyn Rowberry Welding Services Limited which suffered a severe bad debt and consequently had to cease trading.

“ It’s been a very testing time for us”, explains Melvyn Rowberry who has been twenty-five years in the industry.  “We have been fortunate enough to have retained the experience and expertise of six members of the original office team and seventeen site welders and have our factory facilities.  I have been overwhelmed by the industry’s response and support to us and although we are only in our first quarter of trading, we are on target for £1million plus sales in our first year.”  He continues, “ Our strategy is to return to our core business where we are known for our competence in aluminium site welding, the supply and fix of soakers and the application of PPG Duranar ADS paint systems.”

The new company MR Site Services Ltd has a very healthy order book.  It currently has contracts for welding and walkways at both Cork airport and Heathrow Terminal 5, is working on an extensive army base at Colchester Garrison and has won the contract for Birmingham airport.  There are other projects currently in Holland and France and international enquiries are coming in from as far afield as Iceland and the Caribbean.

The future is looking good again for Melvyn Rowberry, who only two years ago received for his company, the Architect’s Journal award for the best use of aluminium in an international building in Ypenburg, Holland.  The new company is approved by leading aluminium roofing manufacturers and is a platinum supplier to Corus Panels & Profiles.  It is also a member of the NFRC and is one of only a few aluminium roof welding companies working to ISO9001 2000 quality management systems.

Commenting again, Melvyn Rowberry says, “ The application of PPG paint systems on projects is already a substantial contributor to our business and orders for bespoke walkways and access hatch systems are at record levels.  I have spent a lifetime in the industry and I am intent on providing the quality and expertise that contractors and architects look for on a project – that’s what MR Site Services will continue to do well into the future based on the principles of honesty and quality of service.”
