NEW ROOF ACCESS HATCH

Aluminium roofing specialist M.R. Site Services has just published a new brochure on its full range of Quantum access hatches. The colour brochure gives full technical details of their range of access hatches specially designed and developed for all types of flat roof, particularly aluminium and steel standing seam roofs. A useful cross sectional drawing illustrates the built-in design features. As the hatches come complete with standard soakers, weathering can be achieved without additional flashings and as the weight of the hatches is transferred through the soaker to the building structure, it does not interfere with the thermal movement of the roof. The full range of benefits of Quantum access hatches are listed in the brochure. Made from 2mm aluminium, the access hatches are lightweight, fully insulated and are fitted with gas assisted struts and are available as a supply and fit package sealed into the roof as part of the site welding process. Four types of Quantum access hatch are available: the Eco, Standard, Dome and Heat/Smoke Activated.

Whilst the access hatches are available in standard 750mm, 900mm and 1200mm square module sizes, M.R. Site Services is also frequently manufacturing them to individual specifications in square, rectangular or oval formats. For instance, the company has recently supplied 1800mm square Quantum access hatches to Birmingham airport.
